Songwriter PRO Program

It all starts with a song. While creators continue to monetize their rights and royalties, liquidity options have not yet reached all corners of the songwriter community. Catch Point aims to provide more writers a way to monetize their catalog via a sale or term transaction of their PRO income.

Songwriter PRO Program

  • Is available to songwriters with songwriter accounts at ASCAP, BMI or SESAC
  • Provides an upfront cash payment to acquire the royalties associated with your PRO account: please note that this program is only for PRO accounts at this time
  • Is flexible - only sell your PRO account and retain all other publishing income

Eligibility

  • Hold a songwriter account at ASCAP, BMI or SESAC
  • Generate at least $50,000 per year in annual PRO writer earnings
  • Majority of earnings should originate from titles 7 years or older
  • No other loans or advances outstanding on the account

The Process

  1. We will review your submission and let you know if your catalog is a fit with the program.
  2. If it’s a fit, we will request three years of your PRO statements in PDF and CSV file formats.
  3. Our team will complete financial analysis and due diligence before sending you an offer via email.
  4. If the offer is accepted, we will send you our form Songwriter PRO Asset Purchase Agreement and relevant PRO Letter of Direction for completion.
  5. We will electronically sign the agreements and wire proceeds from the transaction to your account.
